“This recognition is a distinct indication of the chapter’s successful partnership with SHRM to serve the networking and professional development needs of human resource professionals and to the advancement of the human resources profession” said J. Robert Carr, senior vice president, membership, marketing & external affairs for SHRM.

Chester County Human Resources Association will be recognized in SHRM publications and at SHRM conferences. As an Excel winner, it receives a certificate of recognition and a special banner to display at its meetings and events.

A current initiative CCHRA is working on  :  We have adopted a local organization within our community - Chester County Opportunities Industrialization Center. The Chester County OIC provides FREE adult basic literacy education and life skills programs that prepare individuals for employment leading to economic self-sufficiency. In addition, they are now offering a Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program. We are raising money through different events all year to support this organization. This is an ongoing initiative. We have raised over $500 at this time and will continue to raise money through June.

In addition we will be holding a Networking Event on May 8, 2014 at the Sheraton Great Valley from 5:30-7:30pm.  Representative Warren Kampf will be attending and will provide remarks.  We encourage everyone to attend!  Pre-registration is required, the cost is free.
