    Topic - Can We Really Make a Difference with Motivation, Engagement & Retention?  As we look towards the future, we see a large segment of the baby boomers retiring, a fifth generation entering the workplace and an increasing amount of disengagement.  Employee motivation and engagement is seen as more and more important for productivity and retention. 

    How can we in HR help impact motivation and engagement thereby affecting retention?  How can we enable our managers to influence motivation and retention? 

    This interactive presentation will provide information and activities that can be utilized in the workplace as well as the opportunity to gain information and ideas from your fellow participants. The participants will learn:

    •        How to determine what motivates you and others
    •        The three types of engagement
    •        The five elements that drive engagement
    •        How to determine engagement - not a survey
    •        Actions to engage our workforce

    Presenter – Amy Dinning, Senior Learning and Talent Development Leader with extensive experience working with all organizational levels setting strategy, creating, promoting, and delivering learning, leadership and talent development solutions designed to support the organization’s business plan and goals.  Amy is passionate about creating an interactive and engaging environment that supports learning and growth.  Amy is the Director of Organizational Learning at Inglis in Philadelphia, PA.  Amy enjoys serving in leadership positions.  She is the co-lead of the Association for Talent Development Leadership & Organizational Development SIG.  She serves as a Board Member and  Programming Manager for My Career Transitions.  She is the creator and chief facilitator of Jump Start Your Job Search Workshop, which is offered twice/year for the unemployed and underemployed.  Amy also speaks to various professional associations and networking groups on a variety of topics.
