    The Reality of Leadership Development: This presentation is to be instructive for learning and development professionals and educators attempting to facilitate growth of leaders in their respective organizations.

    The session intent is to provide a forum for participants to:

    1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the forces in the contemporary business world that both drive and challenge leadership development efforts.
    2. Use their understanding of today’s business context to craft a pragmatic approach to building and sustaining internal leadership development programs.
    3. Explore the 8 principles of sustainability and map those principles to their respective situations.
    4. Discuss a business case and articulate the applicability and challenges of that case to their respective efforts.
    5. Draw on the diverse experiences of the participants to enrich their own approach to leadership development.
    6. Generate a list of 3 to 5 modifications based on the discussion and presentation that they will make to strengthen their influence in their respective organizations.

    Speaker: Michael E. Pepe, Ph.D., has extensive experience in organizational design, large scale change, talent management, and executive coaching.  He has successfully coached C-level executives, including physician leaders, through significant organizational transformation and personal transitions.  He is currently a senior partner with Meaningful Growth Associates of Bucks County, PA, a boutique consulting firm providing a range of services including; Executive and Team Coaching, Assessment-Driven Development Programs, Group Facilitation, Talent Management Infrastructure, Succession Planning and Organizational Change Support.  

    This program has been approved for 1.25 General HRCI credits.
