2018 -19 Elections


    Do you want to get more involved in our chapter but don’t know where to start?  Why not join the Board?  We will have new board position openings once our chapter year ends in June.  You may also run for any board opening even if it is currently filled (with the exception of President and Past-President; which is a three-year term commitment.*)  All other positions are one-year only.  What are the advantages of being on the board?

    • Free CCHRA regular membership (or discount on Convenience membership)!

    • National SHRM membership! (for board members who can’t get it reimbursed through their employer)

    • Hanging out with a lot of fun people!

    • Building friendships!

    • Networking!

    • Looks good on a resume! 

    • Community involvement; working with local charity groups and other service organizations!

    *This year's Vice President (Cori Leary) is President Elect and will assume the position of President in July 2018. This year's President (Andrea Mower) will assume the position of Past President in July 2018

    Elections will take place via electronic ballot from March 23rd through 31st.  Candidates will be able to speak in front of the group at the February or March meeting.

    In addition to being a SHRM member once you are on the Board, you are required to attend a majority of the monthly meetings and networking events held for the general membership as well as the monthly Board meetings. The Board meets 12 months a year, but many of those meetings are conference calls.
